Why convert my video to DVD?

Videos have a limited lifespan and each time you play them this is being shortened. Even in storage your videos are being damaged by dust, light and heat. The magnetic surface of video tapes also oxidises over time which causes tracking to malfunction. Another consideration is a number of manufacturers no longer produce video players rendering video tapes obsolete.

What video formats do you transfer to DVD?

We convert VHS, S–VHS, Camcorder VHS–C, Camcorder 8mm

Can I get copies of my final DVD?

Yes, we can make as many copies as you would like making this an excellent gift.

How long does it take to complete my order?

Orders take a maximum of 10 working days from receipt however we aim to have your new DVD with you within 5 working days.

What happens to my original video?

Once we have converted your video to DVD we will return the original to you.

Is there a risk to my video tape?

The same risk as when you play the video tape on your own VCR player

How much can I fit one DVD?

We can put up to 4 hours of video footage on one DVD 

Are there any situations where my video cannot be converted to DVD?

In some situations it may not be possible to convert your video, including but not limited to the following examples:

  • Video with too much physical damage

  • Non–supported format

If for any reason we are unable to convert your video we will let you know

Is there a chance that my video can get damaged?

When working with old video tapes there is always a very slim chance that they may become damaged while being converted, however the chance of damage is no greater than playing your video on your video player at home today.

Also, your order is monitored throughout the conversion process and the utmost care is taken processing your order.

Old video tapes can degrade and become unplayable over time so there is a risk of losing the memories you have recorded to VHS Video tape. Moreover a number of manufacturers no longer produce video players.
